I picked up 2 shifts on Valentine's Day, one of 2E and the other on 3W. On February 14 at 4:30 p.m., I was at 2E, and the patients in 220 brought out a box of cookies for the staff. It's not like we needed any more stuff to eat at the nurse's station. Dr. Maerz brought in Duffy Rolls decorated for Valentine's Day, and there was lots of chocolate around as well. I guess the proposal by one of the patients at the hospital that garnered local media attention put every one in the lovin' mood.
Reaching for a cookie is the nurse who shares the same birthday as me, Jordan Long.
