Diaries are personal things; most of the time most people wouldn't think of looking into one and peeking at someone's private thoughts and experiences. The Picture-A-Day project for 2009 is now one month in, and something is evolving. The outline of people's lives, moments in time that give an idea of the kind of life a person is leading, but like pages in a coloring book, the image is incomplete. No life can be summed up by images made during the stretch of a minute during the day, but these images are like windows, and you can only see what's in the frame, not everything else in the house.
As this project continues, I notice the progress of the people who are part of the group and participating in the project. We each make images, and some of us caption, some don't. I decided to blog this adventure, since what I've been seeing in my friends has got me noticing them more as individuals and their lives are interesting to me.
