Today, March 14 is considered "pie" day because the date is 3.14. Bit of trivia there. On March 14 at 4:30 .m. I was working on Mariah's Easter hat. I found her a little plain hat, and went to JoAnn Fabrics for ribbons and stuff. Every year I try to make something "Easter,", kind of a throw-back to the days when I used to sew A LOT. We don't really celebrate Easter, since we're not much of a religious family, but some traditions like big family dinners, jelly beans and ribbony things are always a go.
This year, Easter won't happen on Easter, because like last year, I'll be in California. In 2008 it was Monterey, this year it's San Francisco with another group from Social Documentary.
I'll have this hat ready for Mariah for Easter because I think her dad and Kristen have something special planned that day.
