On March 28 at 4:30 p.m. I was goofing off. I have things to do, and I'm not doing them.
This is one of my favorite movies, "The Love Letter" from about 10 years ago. Kate Capshaw, Tom Selleck, Gloria Stuart and Ellen DeGenres. It's a chick-flick about a letter that's found in a couch and the letter is filled with love and longing and no one knows who wrote it or who it's for.
One of my most favorite lines in any movie is the one from the scene above.
Miss Scattergoods (gray hair) talking to Kate Capshaw's character who runs:
"I do believe that when I have the urge to exercise, I lie down until it passes."
What a great line.
Did I fall? Did I stumble? Graze my knee? Graze my heart?
I guess at my age it's not a chick-flick, it's a hen-fluck.
