June 11 was a tough day, and at 4:30 p.m. I was at the tail end of a chart onslaught. A chart onslaught that lasted about 5 hours and included and endless litany of phone calls, rude doctors (OK, just one in particular) missing orders and the usual round of buzzers, beeps, rings and motors. On top of that, I found out I didn't get the case coordinator job I wanted and am faced with trying to get the day secretary job on the busiest floor in the hospital. June 11, 2009
