On July 16 at 4:30 p.m. I had just left the Bel-Mar theatre where I watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It's OK. Bel-Mar now covers the area where the old Villa Italia mall used to sit. A one level mall with a giraffe spot looking stone floor and a lot of memories. Built in the 60's I used to go there with my mom's family and kind of grew up there. There used to be movie theatre right at the corner of Wadsworth and Alameda and I went on a lot of movie dates at that theatre. I remember going there on summer evenings with my dad and getting an ice cream cone from the Dairy Queen. We'd sit and watch people go by and talk about the things that teenage girls talk about with their dads. Ford trucks, boys, horses, the Air Force and how to avoid mom on her drinking days.
