We now have TVs in the hallways at Craig. On July 8 at 4:30 p.m. I was noticing the same handwashing graphic for about the 100th time today. The TVs are there to display announcements and events and keep patients current with activities they may be interested in. I asked one of the managers, Bridgett, if there would be sound on these TVs and if there was, I was putting in my 2 weeks notice. The nurses' stations are noisy enough without adding media noise to the mix. I stuck my foot in my mouth when Dr Weintraub asked me what I thought of the idea, and I told him I didn't like it, only to find out it was Dr Weintraub's idea to have these TVs put up. Perhaps the money would have been better spent on new Dynamaps and thermometers for the floors. IMHO.
