On August 18 at 4:30 p.m. I was arriving at the Bear Inn, between Conifer and Evergreen. I was picking up a DVD and getting some additional information about an upcoming piano concert by Romayne Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler's story is complex and inspiring. A classically trained pianist from the Vienna tradition, he donates all proceeds to the Tarahumara tribe of indians. The oldest Americans, the Tarahumara have accepted Mr. Wheeler into their fold and he lives in seclusion with them in Mexico. The connection to the Bear Inn? The owner/operation Vickie Bock it the person who's arranged for Mr. Wheeler to play in Conifer on December 19. August 18, 2009
