On March 7, Leadville was holding its annual ski race on downtown main street with people on skis being pulled by snowmobiles, horses or whatever. We had grand plans to go to there, shoot, do video, do audio and have an adventure. Yah, not so much.
When Drew and Jason showed up at my place at around 0800, we sat down and started to plan, but as time rolled by and we had our traditional breakfast burrito send-off, we were still sitting here. We bagged Leadville and hung out all day, talking, cooking, eating, fixing my pathetic Dell and attempting to perfect the rice krispie recipe and watching a little TV.
On March 7 at 4:30p.m., Jason crashed on my big comfy couch after a big meal of steak and the usual trimmings. We had a lot of food and it was pretty good. Jason crashed after dinner, Drew and I were in the living room when our alarms went off for our sametime picture and well, we couldn't resist documenting Jason's nap for posterity.
Drew finally got to subjugate my Dell, and after 7 hours, 5.5 Gb of temporary files, 4 attempts at defragging and some problem files, it runs like a champ.
There is no better day than one with good friends.
