On July 24 at 4:30 p.m. I had just walked in the door from my day of looking for a place to live up the hills. The High Timber Times is where I'm working as a reporter/feature writer/photographer, and part of the deal is to move up to the area and live where you report. The problem is that there's not a lot of affordable housing to rent. You can buy for cheap, but I don't want to buy today. I'm at a loss even with all these resources of the High Timber Times want ads, the 285 Hustler which is the area's version of Craigslist, and resources from local real estate offices. The house listed is the only real lead I have, and that's 6 miles off Hwy 285 just this side of Crow Hill. A little farther than I wanted to go. Looks like I'll be living with Kate a while.
