The 30th anniversary of The Metropolitan was last week, and the paper is doing a retrospective on images and stories the paper has covered. To go along with the event, The Met is changing its logo and the crew was looking over the proposed changes. Dawn, Nick and Cora were discussing the different formats on February 22 at 4:30 p.m.
The retrospective issue contained within it one secret. Images in the form of black and white negatives from anything earlier than 1985 are nowhere to be found. We took out all the storage containers and put them in order, but there are a lot of years missing. The images that were located don't match up with any of the published editions. The mystery? Where did the published images go? Back to the photographer at the end of the semester? In some more appropriate storage container somewhere on campus? Apparently, the group who put out the 25th anniversary ran into the same problem. Their issue contained front covers and no images from the inside.
